Connecticut Micro-Wedding Photographer

Maryam & Paul planned a stylish micro-wedding at the home of Paul’s mom in Greenwich, Connecticut which was decorated with gorgeous arrangements from Sarah Saunders Studio, complete with foraged hornet nests. The ceremony was in keeping with Iranian traditions, complete with Kalleh Ghand where two sugar cones are rubbed together and sprinkled over the couple to make the union sweeter, and to bring good energy. Guests casually dined around the house eating hors d'oeuvres and entrees prepared by the family. After dinner, everyone retreated to the family room where loved ones shared stories, and where Maryam and Paul eventually cut the cake made lovingly by Paul’s mom.

Micro-weddings offer the ability to really get to know each person there and connect on a much more personal level. Considering the limited guest capacity, I was truly honored to have been a part of it all. (Maybe I gave a little speech too) Their openness and hospitality made me feel just like part of the family.
